April is Keep America Beautiful month. People all over the country are gearing up for a month of all sorts of activities, all aimed at cleaning up our communities.  At DiscountVacs.com, we think this is a great opportunity for everyone to get involved! Since we love to help you have a clean business or home, we thought we could offer some ideas on how to keep America beautiful outside your business or home as well. 

Since litter is a huge problem in most urban areas, here are some tips to help reduce litter. 

• Keep a garbage bag in your car.
• Make sure any garbage cans left outside have lids that fit tightly and don’t put loose trash in boxes.
• If anyone in the family is involved in sports or other activities, encourage the group to ‘adopt’ a spot and maintain it.
• Get creative! Decorate litter bags for you and your friend’s bicycles!

Of course there are many other ways that you can help keep America beautiful. You can plant a tree or help with a community garden. Start a recycling program at work or help your kids start one at their school. America, and the rest of the planet, is beautiful and amazing, let’s all do our part to keep it that way!
